Why does a CR sound so much better than a 12v?

And i dont like either on the 12v.

And i do know that 12/24s sound more diesel like, but I like my quiet diesel, exhaust and motor. Lets face it, diesels are going quiet and i love it. I like to be able to hold conversations in my truck. My old roomate has a 24v with Motoblue 4" duals and it sounds horrible. Also thinks the superchips tuner makes it faster than my truck on CL, but it makes it as fast as my truck stock...

you like quiet but you've got a straight piped CR!? that's the loudest goose-honkin' exhaust note out of any of the 5.9's! LOL

I would think that most people will like the sound of the 12/24v's over the CR's, but don't really dislike the CR sound.

the CR has some funky sounds to it... I heard one recently w/ stacks on it, and it just didn't sound very good at all to me.

single straight pipe, they're pretty rowdy, but they'll never have that clean raw sound of a single fire straight 6

i dont have a straight piped CR. I put the stock muffler on it and left the cat off. Way too loud for me. I had it straight piped for about 5 months. All quiet now.

isnt this about what kind of ice cream we like on our cake??

I like'em all, just prefer one (12/24) over the other (CR) but would NEVER turn down any of them.
