Who shoud pay

I ordered a Dynatrac kit, $299 for second day air. With that kit I needed ArrowCraft hub adapters because I have a Dually payed $170ish for overnight shipping I needed them quick so I could get my truck back friday. Problum is Dynatrac sent the wrong U-joints I get metric ones and it takes standard ones.
Dynatrac told me to call ArrowCraft and talk to Bob when I order. Well the lady on the phone told me he was in the shop working and she knew exactley what I needed. I told her I had 22.5's on so the hubs have to bolt up to them. She said no problum if the stock hubs fit so will theirs. My problum is the wheel studs are 1/2 a inch shorter then the originals so when I put the tires on about a 1/4 inch of the nut isn't on the stud

My question is should I still be the one paying the expensive freight when they are the ones that screwed up?? I don't think so If they would have sent the right stuff my truck would be done!!

I would call them and tell them the situation, most places will own up to it and just eat the shipping.... It's at least worth a try.

Absolutly call them and explain what happened. Don't go off on them till you give them a chance to correct the issue. As Lrdchaos said, at least give that a try. I know these things make us mad but really they are human. And we all know humans make mistakes.

Explain nicely and ask them to take care of the shipping, or atleast charge you ground instead of next day. Lot of places will do that.

It was to late to call them on friday before I figured out the mistake so I couldn't call them and it sure is a long time till monday morning. I guess I will see what they say on monday, I just wanted to know what you guys opinion was on the situation.
I must say that both kits made the factory parts look like they came off a toyota, now we will see how good their customer service is and I will post what they will do

Arrowcraft steel hub adapters are good, they've been in business 30 years. Talk nice to the only lady there that answers phone and tell her your whole story, they may help out, let us know. Good luck

I have a new favorite business not to do business with ArrowCraft. It's not their fault that the Lady answering the phone wouldn't let me talk to the guy (Bob) who I needed to. And she knew the answer to all my questions. If I would have been abel to get a hold of Bob I would have never gone with the Dynatrac and arrow hubs because of all the complications. Now the only way I can make things work is I have to buy their 8 to 10 bolt adapters so I can put on my 22.'s Just more $$$ for their pocket
They basicly said tuff luck on the shipping and are even charching for shipping for the new adapters

I'd send their stuff back to them, and demand a refund. It would be worth the loss in shipping to not deal with such a shady company.

What companies don't get is that we are all connected, problems like you have had will stick in everyone's mind when they are considering getting something from them, affects them big-time for future sales. While they may have lost a little on getting it right, they will loose a lot more when people stop ordering from them and take their business elsewhere.

Years ago I dealt with Arrowcraft, they had an excellent product line then. I'm sure it is still a good quality product line now. The difference between then and now is that they now have competition. If I needed something I would be checking out everyone's stuff and taking their 'service' into consideration. If they keep this kind of stuff up, they will be on the outside looking in at their competition thriving.

That has crossed my mind
ArrowCraft said they will take the adapters back.(I eat the freight both ways) But then what do I do about the Dyntrac that is already installed.

I would try giving Dynatrac a call and see if there is anything they can do to help you out. They might be able to work somthing out with "Bob" for you. Always frustrating when things go wrong.

I have talked to dynotrac from what I understand is they have no formal business agreement. That is why you can't get everything from them.
The salesmen at Dynotrac is doing some research to see if this has happened before. Looking for answers I guess.
