White powder inside 90* rubber elbow???
White powder inside 90* rubber elbow???
Hello all,
I noticed something new the last time I cleaned my Scotty 5. The 90* rubber elbow that connects to the turbo has a white powdery substance lining the inside of the elbow. Could the extreme heat from the turbo be causing a chemical reaction to the rubber? Could this fine powder be harmfull to the motor?
thanks Jamie

I think you might be correct on that. Its hard to make it smudge but it appears to come from a reaction of some sort.
I had that on my trucks before I ever had an aftermarket intake on...just hear the turbo.
