What's the offset or back space of the stock 17x8 rims?
What's the offset or back space of the stock 17x8 rims?
I'm running stock 3rd gen rims with ltx at2's and I need to know what the offset of the rims are. Ive read they are 17x8.
Or a back space measurement would work as well.
Thanks!

2003-2008 Dodge Ram 2500 & 3500 - 2wd & 4wd
Factory 17x7.5 Wheel Offset = +45 mm - Back Space = 6.00" Inches
Factory 17x8.0 Wheel Offset = +43 mm - Back Space = 6.20" Inches
Lug Pattern = 8 x 165
Here's a link. I just installed 18x9 Method 305-HD rims at +23mm offset (replacing the recently broken Centerlines in my sig). 295/70s sit pretty well under the fender (lip) with about 0.8 inch less positive offset than stock. I wish the new wheels had more offset, but I couldn't find heavy duty rims with more positive offset. You definitely want as much positive offset as you can get to preserve your front end systems. I found out the hard way with the zero offset wheels that came on the truck when I bought it. Everything steering and track bar related had to be replaced, some bits twice until I got different wheels with substantial positive offset.
