What size tubing does your AFE stage 2 system have??

I am trying to come up with homemade intake system and was wondering what size the tubing is on your AFE stage 2, is it 5" or 6" tubing??? or something else???

Wow,, I think it is 6 " but now I am questioning myself,, have you tried their website,, see what they say it is

It is 6" at the filter end and is formed(tapered) down to 4" at the turbo.

Yea, its 6". Boy howdy do friends and people who havent seen it before say "DANG thats HUGE." Yup, thats how I roll, screw the 28 inch rims or that other non-power stuff. LMAO

So does it taper down to 4" right after the filter?
in other words is the filter opening the only part that is 6"??
can you tell me at what point it does tapper down to 4"??

Well its actully more a graduall (sp?) tapper. It stars at 6" and slowly goes to 4", not like PVC pipe just reduces at the reducer. I hope that helps.

Id be interested on how you might be going about this homemade addition. I thought out it and came up with squat, other than what has been done before. IE: swiss cheeseing the box and a coffee can.

They want $95.00 for just the AFE pro guard 7 filter
and $70.00 for the standard AFE
anybody know of a cheaper air filter that has a 6" opening??

if I did not have to buy the AFE filter I could make it a full 6" system for only 67.00 bucks
