No need for any drop brackets at all. Stock shocks work just fine with just 2".

I also did a 2" level on mine. I pull an 11K lb travel trailer and when I hit a large dip in the road, and my suspension gets worked, my front shocks get fully extended,,,and it is not a good feeling. . I cant help with what kind of shocks to get (Bilsteins maybe), but if youre gonna tow any weight, make sure you get some longer ones.

I've had a 2" leveling kit for 4 years now, I don't think I've experienced the maxing out of the front shocks, but I knew and worried they could.

I have finally purchased a set of the silver Bilsteins 5100's for a 0-2.5" front lift (24-185776), and the corresponding stock rears (24-191203). I will be installing this weekend.

Here is the complete list from Bilstein for 3rd gens. http://cart.bilsteinus.com/search/mm.../drivetype=4WD

I have the Bilstein 5100s and they have been great for 50k. Unless you do serous off-roading they should be all you need. great warranty too.

Its happened to me a few times...it scared the heck out of me the first time...I have since parked the trailer at a seasonal site, so I'm not gonna worry about longer shocks yet

Well it looks like the Billsten. I will see what the price runs but till then I will still put the level ing kit in and run with stock. Thanks and any tricks to make the install smoother will help. I will be doing it here at the house if I can get away with it.

Thanks to all of DTR
