crank hp. well you donty need a trans to measure hp at the crank so 04.5 and up. fuel pump ( fass ,glacier) turbo 62-66, bddl or smarty and a tst. 03 and 04 trucks might need injectors but it would be real close.

Piece of cake

The '05 is the easiest of the CR trucks to get to 600hp.

This is the shopping list you will need:

1) Built (end to end) tranny if auto or HD clutch for stick

2) Gauges

3) BullyDog Triple Dog and have Wicked Diesel put the Scary Larry download on it.

4) Almost any small pressure box, i.e. EZ, VA C3.1 or go with the MP8 for a bit more.

5) A big single turbo, i.e. HTT, Ind Injec, or ATS.

6) GDP or FASS lift pump

7) BHAF

With the above you will be over 600 RWHP.

No offense but NOT RWHP means absolutely nothing. You can only use what can make it to the ground so then pick a number as it is meaningless.

Luken did it without a modded cp3 or sticks, as I recall.

All I have on my 03 (which is a standard output 5spd) is what is in my sig and I have read of guys hitting about 500 give or take at the wheels....stock cp3, stock injectors, only thing I lack is the pump, and I need studs too. Given a loss of +/- 20% through the drivetrain and 600 at the crank is probable.

I should think an '04.5-'06 with good intake & exhaust, Smarty, Quad Race and H2O/CH3OH to keep it cool would be awful close to 600 at the crank.

600 crank hp is around 550 RWHp. that's easy and cheap with a CR. need gauges, lift pump, module, downloader, turbo, and decent intake.

$10k-12k?

If you shop around and can do some of the work yourself, you can do much much better than that.

I have $6500 in go fast parts in mine at 547hp to the wheels. That's with some used items and installing everything myself except for the cp3. I will be spending a little over $2000 more to get a billet input shaft and some clutches and such, a thicker steel flexplate, and some DDP injectors installed. So even paying for parts and labor on the latest ventures, I will be under $9k and should be well over 600hp to the wheels.
