I have a 2003 3500 drw and I was trying to get some opinions on the best programmer for my truck?

 

I have found the diablo predator/puck to have the most/smoothest power delivery on mine, (04, 305/555).

I have a smarty, and so do a bunch on here. MOST love it, there have been some that havent(every product will have a few problems) the customer support is great, and i have had no trouble with mine.

 

the fastest 3rd gens are using these (3) diablosport, bullydog and PPE!

 

That PPE looks like it unlocks some LETHAL HP/TQ numbers...

For the 03-04 555 trucks, the best numbers are coming from the diablosport, and the PPE. The beta smarty will be up there when it is released. Bullydog is a good selections as well, but the diablosport and PPE are both stronger units.

 

will the smarty, or the predator do all of the accessory delay, hi idle, tire size etc. type programming?

I would say smarty or diablosport. every bully dog I have installed on an 03/04 trk runs like poop. the triple dog is just not effective on anything under 04.5.

for your '03 the Diablo does not do speedo recalibrating for tire sizes or high idel (that I am aware of). I think Smarty does both, not entirely certain.

Personally, I am very pleased with my Diablo thus far, especially considering the cost. Diablo is also saying that future updates for the Predator will be able to do tire size, as well as other stuff, but not in the near future.

 

should have some new 03 dyno numbers today. and yes the smarty adjusts the tire size and it a great code reader/clearer too
