so i finally realized that my truck needs a smarty for better power and cooler egts. i just ordered one today and should be here by the end of the week. my question is am i going to have any problems running the smarty and edge together. my plan is to keep the edge on 0 and just have it for the gauges. will this affect the smarty software im going to up load into the computer or not? im wondering since the edge is pluged into the main wiring harness that the smarty tune is going to thru the egde set up and maybe mess up the tune. thanks for the help.

how hot is your edge? if u floor ruck empty what do u see for egts? 1350F?

1450 is the highest i got it. just put in a htt 64/71/13, intercooler and air horn, egts have gotten alot better but still runs hot with the edge

I can hit 1800 fast with my hot edge. I'm wondering if I could have my probe right in the flame path to make it read higher than your's? Also, I've heard from several people that the edge can be used for gauges with the smarty for power.

I'm going to be doing the same stack in 2 weeks.. I think it will be fine.. Does anyone know if the edge adds timing in the first few stages.. may be kind of cool to run the smarty on a medium setting with timing and then be able to add some more fuel on the fly...

I am also hoping to see some lower EGT's w/ smarty... I'm getting up over 1400 still with a silver bullet 62 and pdi ex manifold..
Anyone know what kind of temp drops to expect??

Pretty sure that the juice adds timing on all of the levels.

the juice should add timing on all levels, even level 1. hope the smarty makes a diff, ill post the results.
