Gauges
Combed through a lot of old posts with this question, but never found anyone asking it for my truck.
What are priority gauges for a 2006, long bed, g56 6 speed, 2500, 4.10 ratio with anti spin diff. Pickup is stock and I have no desire to chip it. Going to use it to pull a fifth wheel that will probably be around 12k loaded. Only "mods" i really have planned could be exhaust, exhaust brake, and replacing the K&N oiled air filter the previous owner installed.
It sounds like I can go with EGT, boost, and fuel pressure at the rail to kill two birds with one stone. past experience (2002 auto) screams at me to have a trans temp gauge. 3 guages on the pillar is what I am used to
any input would be great

What about a 6 speed truck? shouldn't need to worry about trans so thinking maybe boost & pyro only or should I get a fuel pressure as well? Also what gauge levels? I am getting 50hp sticks put in right now to my otherwise stock 2004.5. Pyro 0-1600? Boost 0-35? and fuel pressure 0-30? Looking at the Autometer factory match guages.
Thanks

A pyro is a must for your application. When my truck was stock, my pyro could easily reach 1450 on a warm grade pulling 10,000 plus #. My Smarty Jr reduced these about 200-250 degrees.

Thanks John. I plan on the pyro & boost for sure, I had put those two in my old 12 valve '96 on the pillar and always wanted to add them to the 04.5 when I got it new but being stock didn't figure I needed it but since it's getting injectors I am getting ready to order gauges. If I do get a third gauge what would be better to have rail pressure 0-30,000 or fuel 0-30. Thanks for any input all! I am excited about a few more ponies especially when towing although the truck has always done well stock.
