Wastegate BD Twins

Started out with the BD super B single, Upgraded to the towing twins.
question 1, do you need to re-set the waste gate on the super b single in the twin set up. ??

Question # 2,: Dyno the truck made several passes, HP peak 503:tq 1035.

I was hoping to be around 550, what other mods you think I need to get to 550.

Oh, we think we have the 07 defueling issue also.

My truck makes what yours does with only a Smarty Wild program(Haven't dynoed the Revo or TNT-R). In fact, I think my highest with the Smarty slone was 503 exactly. With an MP8, it makes about 530-540. With a TST/Smarty/MP8, it makes about 570 on stock injectors and CP3, but TST settings are key for mine. Changing the TST just by one level can drop as much as 20rwhp, for mine there really is a sweet spot. TST alone is 490-500. TST/MP8 is about 520-530.

That is impressive, and quite a bit cheaper too.

I'am about ready to pull all this ....it out, sort of frustrating at the very least.

The towing twins are not really intended to be high perf....600hp is about it. I have made more, but the egt's are extreme and I wouldn't go there.
The R-700 is a far better setup if you are looking for power.

As far as the 07 defueling issue goes I made 830Hp and 1860FTlbs (#2) at 2000 rpm with a blown headgasket and buggered valves...What do you think another 1000rpm and would do????

Peak power comes at about 3000rpm with some 2007 trucks...So what!
The 2007 fuels harder and sooner....I think it is quicker.

cp3 upgrade so you can take further advantage of the smarty. then some mild injectors and 600 should be possible. don't forget valve springs and head studs. your real close.

I would say try Flux 1's and an MP8 instead of pressure from the Smarty. Do some head studs while your doing the injectors. No studs, then keep it to 45lbs and less IMO.

I have 2 reason for trying to steer clear of the injectors, because of the weight of my toy hauler, also the smoke factor, I really do not want more smoke.

I will go with the CPE upgrade and the MP8 and see where that lands me.

BD towing twins will make 575 all day long with the correct fueling. Wastegate adjustment can be determined by the egts and smoke. If you are clean and making 55-60psi no need to close it down further.

I think I really need to look into the Cp3 kit. I think my truck is really defueling, my dyno sheet at 3100 rpm has a drastic drop off. rail pressure is at 25k.

Don, you need to come back to LCD and re-run with some WG adjustments, MP-8 and a Cp3 mod.

The reason you have the drop off at 3100 is since you dont have springs yet and are ruuning 50+psi, I dont run trucks above redline with out springs. So at 31-3200 I let off, thats why the drop in power.

I think that with somemore time and a pressure box and some WG adjusting we can squeeze some more from your rig....give Erik a call.
