Walbro Issues

A few months ago I installed the Walbro kit. After the first run with the kit I noticed that it was leaking fuel a little bit at the barb fitting on the bottom of the adapter plate on the filter housing. I cut the hose back a little and reinstalled it, it never leaked until today. I finally got my tranny built and was out playing around. When I got home I noticed that the leak was back and leaking more than it did before. Has anyone had this problem or know of anything I can try. I'm not even sure what I could have done to cause the leak to occur again.

I have the Walbro setup, and have no leaks, (knock on wood). Are you pushing the hose all the way up ojn the barb, or just as far as you can? Get that baby all the way up to get the full effect of the barbs.

The adapter plate may be leaking at the housing...

Maybe try to just slightley snug the fittin up as well as the bolts to the housing. You may have to revove it ans install again. It took me two time before I got an adapter to seal...it was an older Scotty version.

Are you using a hose clamp on the fitting? I was told not to with the push on fittings because it will cut the hose over time.

It's all fixed now, somehow I pinched the o-ring and a small chunk on rubber was missing so it was leaking were the adapter meets the filter housing. Installed a new John Deer o-ring and no leaks.
