They are two totally different animals. Power Puck doesn't have the "seat of the pants" thing going for it right off the bat like the Edge. But stack them and your top end gain is GREAT. Obviously, just off the videos alone, it's not a huge gain on low end, but decent either way. Just feels like it is pulling MUCH more smoothly through the mid to high range, however and this is a big however, I CAN feel that the stocker tranny doesn't care for the power much...which is why Puck is off and Edge is back to level 1 and that is where it will stay until I get a tranny in there...OR want to dust a Ferd or Chebbie Oh yeah, and I can't feel that my rail is pulled down a lot either...yet I'm sure it's not liking it much either. Hot upgrade to follow!

Nope, as stated above, still on the stocker for now...billet will be bought and installed after I get back from deployment.

 

It blows a little smoke...not too much though, but I'm glad for that. Out here in SoCal, that kinda stuff draws negative attention. It was hard enough for me to just find a place to do a few 0-60 runs. I am SURE that if I upgraded my lift pump and sticks, it would be smoke galore though. I will try and get a vid as soon as I can though of the smoke it makes for ya'll...

 

Here is a question for you, what was the noise that your truck was maken at 3k around 45mph-60. Was that you on the rev limiter? Just wondering thanks.

 

If you are talking about the beeping noise, that would be the Edge Juice with Attitude telling me that my boost levels were getting to high. I should have turned them off for the tests, but I don't really think it would have made much difference.

Wait until you get the HOT upgrade. It'll feel like you just plugged in another power puck. The difference is amazing. Of course you will for sure need a lift pump at that point and you already know you need tranny work.

 

Through it in 4hi and do a boosted launch and tell us how it does.

 

Id say probably not to good with the stock tranny.

On a serious note...you don't know how hard it is for me to NOT beat on it, but I just can't...I need it to work and to get to and from work, so I won't be seeing a new tranny until after deployment.

 

I watched the videos again and think that I figured out the noise that you were talking about...sounded like my exhaust was fading in and out a little bit...I was on a street where there were vehicles parked on the side and that was me passing by them.

 

I have an 06 with the HOT upgrade but I need a turbo to use it as my egts go way to high on level 6.
