On a dusty road, it will make a cloud if I rev it. So far I like it quite a bit. I have not noticed any soot on my truck yet. The photo is kind of weird. It does not stick as far down as the bottom of the pumpkin.

I see a stinky, soot stained undercarriage in your future
we have some fleet diesels and when the exhaust goes bad and it does not get fixed they stain and stink like a old cold Perkins diesel......you cant even wash that stink off.

That has to be LOUD... For about 2K miles my tailpipe was short and ended a mere 1" into the rear quarter panel.. Just making it 4" longer cut my volume in half...

When I first started the truck, I thought; "Wholly underwear that is loud, I can hear the turbo spinning." But as soon as you start to drive, it quiets down. I can't really tell a difference from before driving down the street. It does have a very long muffler on it.

I did notice that at a light, with the window down, I can smell Diesel. I am not sure what a Perkins Diesel is, like 53 ****** said, but I can smell more Diesel when idling. Is that what my truck has been smelling like to all the CA hybrids behind me? Good.

Working offhore in the oilfield you see those perkins quite often. Dont stand down wind of the exhaust, it will make your eyes water.
