USB update of BDDLPP - blank window #?
 

I have my BDDLPP hooked up, and all the USB-Serial drivers loaded automatically by Windows

went to BD's update site, got the update program, launch it, it comes up with a blank "window" that you can type something in, and a UPGRADE and a CANCEL button, and a black (progress?) bar beneath.


it shows a 4 if i just leave it alone....?

Q: What does the number mean that pops up in the window
when I click on “Upgrade”?
A: This is a little debug tool that helps tech support if you
have issues with the upgrade. The number that appears
is the same number that Windows has assigned as the virtual
port for your USB connection with the downloader. If
that still doesn’t mean anything to you, that’s OK. It means
something to tech support and we’ll leave it at that.

What happens when you click UPGRADE? It took a while on mine, but the progress bar started moving from 1% to 100%.

Man I just hope you don't have to talk to customer service, they are the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.[verymad]
