I have a failing injector, so I am goin to replace all 6 was thinkin of goin threw don m to rebuild and put 40 horse tips on. has any body just run upgraded injectors with out a tuner? My truck is bone stock. I am putting gauges in I would like to put a he351 turbor and smarty someday but I and waiting for it to be payed off before I start modifying because I know how addicting it is and you all now money is tight at times. and I want to do injectors once not twice any advice is apreceated THank you

Shouldn't be an issue with 40hp tips. Also installing a boost elbow set to 32 psi max will help keep the EGT's down.

Good deal I think I might even have my old boost elbow of my 12v yet thanks for the input,

Your gonna run hot EGTwise with upgraded tips without a tune. Normal around town is ok, but tow anything and your gonna get hot quick. You also won't notice much of a difference powerwise without a tuner to utilize the added flow of the injectors. I know injectors are expensive, but if you can add a Smarty Jr it'll help a ton. I tow a 40' 5th wheel at 12,000lbs with the truck in my sig. and I have no issues. Good Luck!

Well I bit the bullet and picked up a smarty JR as well, got a pretty good deal on got it through one of our members, so its a start things are alot more expensive than the 12v thats for sure thanks for all your guys input.
