I just use good ole Mopar ATF +4. IT's good stuff. I buy it by the gallon at the local dealer and just request they discount it...which they usually will.
It is already synthetic. I drain, change the trans filter, and refill every 20K. .. |
I use mopar fluid from dealer. I get it free

I used amsoil in my Ford. Never had any trouble, shifted great with no problems. I used it for maybe 60k.
|
I've been using Amsoil tranny fluid for quite awhile now... all good so far, no issues.

i have been running AMSOIL ever since i got my new tranny. only had it about 3k miles so far, but i have had no problems.

06 auto exhaust, intake horn, cold air, smarty, truck in shop time for tranny |

Search opie parts and my buddy works at the dealer so when i swapped trans i took 4 5qt containers and they donated it

I have a manual trans and just want to report that I do not get a noticiable difference with Amsoil vs. Mopar. I can get the MOPAR genuine stuff at Wal mart...

I use the other Amsoil .... 'ATF' .... and have for 150,000 miles. Love it and it meets ATF+4 specs. Smooth shifts, at track and on the street.... and excellent summer time protection against high temps. Capacity - My deep dish Mag Hy-Tec pan (4 qts extra) takes 12 qts to change every 20,000 miles (when racing)..... BUT, I only drain the pan. I don't mess with draining the tq. converter. Hence replacing only 60% but doing it more often. Much easier. :) RJ |
