I went to the track just to see what my truck would run with the mods I have. I ran it stock first and got a 16.7 at 83mph with a 2.8 60ft. I didn't think that was to good. Then I loaded the tripple dog and set it on performance and ran a 15.3 at 91mph with a 2.57 60ft. This looked a little better. Then I set it on extreme and ran a 14.9 at 93mph with a 2.4 60ft. Overall I was pretty impressed. I know there is room for improvement on my part, and none of these run's were in 4 wheel drive nor did I build boost off the line. I had to ease on the throttle on take off cause it just wanted to spin. Sorry for this being long but I'm pretty happy with the results. This is with the v2.3 with the more lowend power option on. What do you guy's think?
I want to run mine also but need to figure out the best way to launch it off the line, also used my edge additude to do a 0-60 on level 3 and hit 7.6 seconds. Now to work on my 1/4 mile time!
We put the bddl on extreme on my buddy's '06 2500 2wd. It's an auto with 3.73's. Here's what I found about launching the truck: Leave against the converter at 1600 rpm. DO NOT immediately floor it. Let it roll out a few feet without pressing any harder, and then start EASING into the pedal. You have to sense if the wheels start to spin, and back off slightly if they do. I got short times in the 2.2 range launching this way. You bring it against the converter to partially spool the turbo. Doing this mostly eliminates the lag between pressing the pedal and generation of actual torque, which helps keep you from pressing too far and blowing the tires away. My experience on that track at that time was that 1600 was the limit of traction before you would just spin the tires immediately upon letting off the brake. This was with stock michelin tires, by the way. Your results might vary by a couple hundred rpm either way.
Now, if you leave in 4wd, you can probably leave at around 2000 rpm. Limiting your rpm against the converter is how you prevent damaging the transmission. Stock, these trucks stall to 2200 rpm against the converter when you hold it with the brakes. No matter how much power your box makes, if you limit your rpm against the converter to no more than what the stock truck will do, you won't be damaging stuff in the transmission before you get moving. Launching in 4wd that way will spool the turbo without going crazy against the converter. The difference between 2wd and 4wd is that you'll be able to ease into it much quicker in 4wd. Once the truck is rolling, you're unlikely to damage anything by getting into it quickly. We got a 14.95 out of his at about 93 mph leaving that way. You're already there launching with no boost, so your truck will probably do better than that even in 2wd. In 4wd, I think you'll probably get it into the 14.60's or so.

i havent ran the new version yet, hopefully this weekend. When i was on the old version i ran a best of 14.67 with a 60 of something like 2.29? hopefully with the new version i can hit a 14.2 or so, since your not building boost off the line, and have a much heavier truck, and in 2wd, great numbers though
Thank's guy's, I wanna go back and try a few more run's. I know I can get better out it.
V8440: I might try to do what you said, in 4 wheel drive with the launch as long as my tranny is ok with it. Thanks for your info.
