toyo open country m/t

I'm considering running toyo open country m/t's on my 2006 2500 quad cab. It currently has 285 70 17 bfg all terrains but the tires just look a little too small for the truck. I found that toyo makes a 285-75-17 open country which measures 34.1x11.6 according to their spec page. My question is whether or not the tires will rub at all with the 2 inch kit. I can't seem to get a straight answer from the tire shops but one thing I know is that I hate a rubbing tire. Has anyone ran this combo? Also will a 35 inch tire clear adequately if I went with a 3 inch kit? Many thanks.

It all depends on the wheel combo. I have a 3" lift on mine and run 37's. Only rubbing I have is at full lock on the control arms. A wider wheel with near stock spec back spacing should get you set up good with no rubbing issues.

I just bought that exact tire. I love it! I've been out in the Black Hills a lot lately for hunting and its muddy and snowy. These tires never let me down!! No rubbing issues at all. They do hum a little once above 50mph and drop the rpms down a little. Check out my pics below. Unless you have some wheels that stick way out you shouldn't have any problems.

Have a good one.

i know with 37's they say on the sport they will rub on the front bottom corner of the bumper. Is there a way to space out the front bumper an inch or so, that way they wont rub? also if you run them on a dually i noticed that even with aftermarket rims there is no change with back spacing from stock just rim width, is there a way to make them not rub or atleast rub less?

I've got the AT version in the same size. Great tire and no rub issues.
