Towing with rear coilovers?
I was wondering how much does the rear sag when towing with rear coilovers? I will be towing my Jeep Wrangler which weighs around 4000lbs, plus what ever a flat bed weighs will I be OK or will the cause my springs to permanetly sag? I wont be towing it alot maybe once a month.
sorry i have no idea about the coil over aspect. a couple years ago i had an expedition with a 4" rancho lift and 33s. it had coils in the rear and yes it did sag when pulling the boat i had back then, but not to bad and it always came to sit normal when i unhooked. the boat was a 23 foot cobalt

If they're quality springs they shouldn't take a set from being compressed. You can run bags, depending on how the rear coil overs are mounted. Won't be cheap though.....I'd stay away from the off the shelf air bag systems. Might as well toss the coil overs at that point, they'll severely limit suspension travel.

i would hate to steer you the wrong direction, but I don't think that you would have a problem with that weight. I would think a heavier load might get dicey, but I got the same kit with the belief it could handle a single vehicle or moderate size ski boat on a trailer without a problem. Hmm, maybe I'll run a buddys trailer around in the next couple of weeks just to find out...
thinking you will want your rear coils set up in a dual rate system. soft coil for the initial travel, then firm for towing.
I would talk to them or your coilover manufacturer for their sugested setup.
The cool thing about the coil overs is you will be able to change things up as you need. Different springs for differnet applications.
not sure on the air bag, wonder if there is room with the kit.
should be cool when you are done. That and the tounge weight will not be that much with a proper set up trailer. 400-500 lbs. Depends on what else you have in the bed.
