Has anybody blown the rear (or any) freeze plug when towing? I plan on hauling my slide in camper (12K GVW) over the mountains with the Smarty on Sw9. So far I haven't seen my EGT's go over 1300* with this set up. But I have had my fan clutch lock up once from water temps. Should I be concerned?

It is a high RPM issue which most likely coincides with a thermostat that is not fully open.

 

seems high to me, i would back off to 5 at least. I just towed 17K from az to nc and had plenty of power on level 3

 

A BOE kit is the best way to eliminate the freezeplug problem.
