Tow/Haul = Sliiping Transmission

When I had the Banks Six Gun w/PDA installed on my 2006 dodge cummins I noticed that the transmission slip would go from a max of 5 to almost 40 when tow/haul was engaged both on level4 with the six gun..... Yes the truck seemed more responsive but the transmission shifted hard ad felt stronger...... Can someone explain whats going on??????????????????

Banks may be changing some shift points when your in tow/haul. That is one thing that I dislike about running chips and box's is it does make the tranny's shift firmer even if they don't do anything with the shift points. But for your tranny's sake it's a good idea to have firmer shifting when more power is inforced.
