tips on pulling up boost rod to get back on WG pin (HTT)?

Hello. Any tips on this? It is hard to get back up. By the way, when it is disconnected, will the flap be closed or open?

Thanx.

The hose can be pulled off the actuator. When you do that, stick a air line on it and pressurize it, it will loosen up. Might need some help, I know its a tight spot.

Thanx Rip. I am losing light now, might have to wait until morn.

Do you know what the WG does when it is not attached? Does it close down & make boost really low?

Thanx.

flap will blow open and be undrivable. The best thing to do is what Rick said and blow some compressed regulated air into the hose. It will cause the diaphragm to move in the actuator and make it easier to get the rod back on the flap.

Do you have to take the rod off the wastegate to turn the rod. I thought you could just turn the nut.

The old style like I have you have to remove the rod end from the w/g actuator to be able to turn it in to increase boost. Almost imposable to do with out compressed air. I also like to run a adjustable boost elbow. Something HTT didn't used to sell.
