Tips on Commander Installation......

I bought a Quad Commander and pillar mount this weekend. Both items are getting delivered tomorrow, so I want to do the installation on Tuesday.

Any tips, tricks, or suggestions on the install?

I did not get the optional fuel pressure kit. The company is currently designing/testing a new FP kit, which will be released at the end of the month.

THANKS!!

Since you have an auto tranny there is a blank clutch provision bolted to the firewall on the drivers side near where the main wire harness goes through. I think it uses 14mm nuts to hold it in from inside the cab. I took this out and drilled a hole in it and used a rubber grommet to run my wires through the firewall. It was much easier than trying to get it through the dodge wire harness rubber plug. Looks like it was meant to be! This is one good option goodluck with your install!

That is a great suggestion, thanks!

Any idea what size grommet I may need?

Also, what size drill bit and tap will I need for the Pyro?

I would like to go to the hardware store and have everything needed before I start......

I just installed one on Tuesday. The instructions will tell you all you need to know about drilling for the pyro. 1/8th inch NPT or 1/8th inch 27 tap. Get dielectric grease for the connections. And have a ball!!!! :-)
