been seeing EGT slowly climb since Ive done my latest mods. I am seeing mid 700's to mid 800's at cruising 70mph. It originally started out at mid 600' low 700's. Anyone else with close to similar mods seeing these types of numbers?

 

Sounds about right i saw low to high 700 with turbo and 6inch injectors, box, and programer.

 

I have mods, but not the same as you. I can reach up to 1000 on slight inclines. Cruising can be between 500 and 700 too. Even with a small trailer they're about the same for cruising. Accelerating is higher with a load though.

with your mods your egts are dead on.

 

It helps. I guess #'s arent way off. But they are compared to when I first did the pump, dual line, 5", injectors and turbo. 4 weeks ago I was seeing awesome low numbers and now I seem to be building heat somewhere.

Anyone running waterboy or snow that could tell me if it is worth putting on?

 

the turbo and injectors have alot to do with the cruising egts being allitle higher, notice boost is down to about 3-4 pounds at 70 mph.

 

Is your probe pre-turbo or post-turbo?

 

Probe is in manifold.

 

I understood i was going to see some higher numbers but what i am trying to figure out is why I am starting to slowly get higher egts. The extreme case is when I sled pull. I never have seen above 1500 in the last three years. The first 7 hooks this year - same numbers - 1500 with the new mods....but the last hook I had Saturday hit 1700 at the end of the track. Something is up.

 

My EGTs are in that range also with the current Smarty version i have loaded. With my previous Smarty version that I had loaded(3 or 4 versions back) my EGTs were a little lower.
