thoughts on Commander?

does this provide any sort of power upgrade or is it strictly a monitor. I dont want to add analog gauges so this seems to be the way to go...

Commander is just a guage system, but it does work with and control other chips.

Yes it is a gauge system and runs other chips if wanted but my issues with it in the past was that the boost would only read up to 44psi they may have a new download to fix that now but not sure, and I ordered several fuel psi kits but none ever worked, but it did read egt and boost but just to 44PSI

I'm a quad beta tester, I paid less than half price for their new Pulse ADR(the commander replacement) and I'm sending it back after 3 days. Does that tell you anything?

I guess that is why they are beta testing it?

my commander failed within thirty days they repaired it and while i was waiting for it to come back i started reading the failures of the fuel pressure transducers the pulsing of the cp3 was tearing them up we mounted ours on the fire wall and connected it up with a snubber attached , now has 50,000 on it no failures

I'm beta testing the adrenaline and pulse as well. Mine has only been on for one day, but no problems so far. What's wrong with yours? Why are you sending it back?

Love mine. Has been working perfect since the day I got it from another member here. Even my old school fuel pressure sending unit is still working!!!

I thought the Commander was very cheaply made. The wiring harness left much to be desired. I powered it up to check out the features and promptly sold it. Never installed it on the truck. That was a long time ago though. They may be better now. I like the Outlook much better, though their quality can be shotty as well.

Mine's been virtually trouble free...I went ahead and hard wired everything rather than keeping the t-clamps that are sent with the unit. They kept losing connection or something and it wouldn't read right. After I wired it in myself it has worked flawlessly. The transmission temp gets squirrely every once in awhile...it'll just read 100 when I know it shouldn't be. But then the next day it'll read normally. I need to call them about that I suppose as I'm not really sure why it would do that. Overall I like the unit and it was a very simple install. Not a bad price either when I bought it...
