? For Those Of You With Air Helper Springs
I just purchased the Firestone Ride Rite bags for mine and was trying to get some ideas for mounting the manual inflation valves. I was thinking of possibly having them come through the license plate but I haven't decided. What have y'all done?
Anything I should be aware of or out of the ordinary that I'll need before I install them? Thanks

I got the same setup, I ran mine to the right of the plate through the plastic and the bumper (Nice easy spot to get to). I will need to drill the plastic out to a larger hole to allow the nut of each fitting to secure against the bumper because the fill valve is just a bit to short.
So it's kind of hard to get a air chuck on it, I need to have it on nice and square to depress the valve. This doesen't bother me much because I mounted an air tank and have valves inside the cab to adjust on the fly.

We now have the compresser, but we did many on trucks before with just the fill up valves. We put them just above the fuel cap, there's a flat piece of a plastic where they fit in perfect, then shut the door and you never know that they are there, Plus you don't have to bend over all the time to fill them up!!
Any pictures on this evolution yet? I had Timbrens
on mine and just took them off yesterday. I'm looking into the same kit you got but i also have a fifth wheel hitch that has a bracket around the frame in the sme losation. Im curious if i can get the bracket for the bags in there as well.
The behind the fuel door setup sounds like good idea.

I just purchased them from Summit this afternoon, so I haven't recieved or installed them yet. They were by far the cheapest at $238.90 to the door. I checked a local shop where a friend works and he couldn't compete with the price and when he called Firestone he was told they were on backorder for a couple of weeks.
Summit got mine shipped this afternoon and I should have them by Monday at the latest.
I like the gas door idea as well, was their enough line supplied with the kit or did you have to purchase more?

Mine exit out the lower holes or the rear license plate. It’s very stealth. If someone were to remove the bags, you wouldn’t be left with 2 visible holes. I would prefer the compressor rout. The Kilby on board air would be the way to go. You could even run air tools off the Kilby system.

get the compressor
I got the compressor, its worth it makes it real nice, almost never remember befor driving down the road, and depending on conditions i often make changes in the pressure. Its a great tool one of the best, but you need to be able to controll it while driving down the road.
