Question Is A "Switchable" Muffler Bypass Possible ?

I am going to do some 6" turbo-back stacks and will obviously have to run them through a Nelson muffler for any kind of driving that involves towing or any kind of long drive for that matter because of the noise; however, I was wondering if some sort of bypass could be built in that would bypass the muffler and go straight through the stacks. I had this system on my Lamborghini from a company call Kreiss-egg. There was an F1 switch that bypassed all 4 cats and it was LOUD!!!!

The exhaust was $9,000 however (and that was a steal for it) and I don't want to use that kind of money in this setup, for the only time I would use it is at events or just to **** people off!

Thanks. Maybe some of the parts are usable, or at least I can see the theory behind it.

If you were to use it like a dump, you could just install a tee (or holesaw a 4" hole and weld a short piece of 4") mount your butterfly valve/cutout and when you want lots of noise to irritate and smoke out the ricer next to you. Plus it would give you that really cool broken look with smoke bellowing, loudly from underneath your truck instead of the stacks. That would be cheap also.

Here is a link to the company that makes them. They come in a stainless 4" piece. I have one for my truck. I am going to run it right at the end of the downpipe and run it through a quieter exhaust, and then run a second pipe off of the cutout open.

The quality is absolutely awesome. I can't wait to get my truck back so I can put on the new exhasut and this feature.

Naaah, an F-16 is WAY TOO basic!

More like an F-22!

I already have 5 gauges, plus the TST. Pretty soon I will have more switches than anyone but me will know what to do. You will have to go through a "pre-drive" check!

Yep Im thinkin you may just want a touch screen monitor in place of all the switches and have a programmer design it so you could mount all your electronics outta site. Then you could add voice recognition capabilities and give it a few conveniently placed red LEDs in the hood that sweep from side to side and make a neat sound and the voice of some english dude. Then the truck(all black) could drive up into a (all black)semi at speed and there would be a hot chick(with black hair) in there waiting for you. Yep it would never work wiggs that doesnt sound anything like you.

I wonder how many people wont have any idea what im talkin about.
