Sweet new gauges from Autometer but not for Diesel guys....

Hey ive always been a fan of Autometer and they make some great looking series. But it seems they never think about us diesel guys. Yes they have a pyro but you never seen boost gauges above 30psi, fuel pressure 0-15 or 0-50, ect ect.

Yes I know they make them is ultralite but thoes are hard to see at night. In my old 99 I had the Lunar seris but the boost gauge was always pegged at 30psi.

I like the look of the newer series autometers.

Call me picky but I dont care for the looks of most other brands...They look like there geared for old guys.

Ive heard of custom gauges where they rework autometers????

Since I have a 6 speed I dont need a trans temp but would rather have

Fuel pressure 0-50
Boost 0-60
Pyro 0-1600

Just something that will work, in either Lunar, Carbon Fiber, not ultralite due to the poor lighting

Well I love my Autometer Ultra-Lite gauges, 1600* pyro, 60psi boost, 140-280* trans temp and 30psi fuel pressure. I can see mine fine at night and I am half blind according to my glasses prescription.

I'm in the same boat as you. Unfortnately I put a new huffer on my truck so the 0-35 psi Autometer Lunar gauge will not cut it anymore. Hence 1-1600 degree Autometer Lunar gauge have to go as it will not match the replacement gauges which are the new Di-Pricol Optix gauges. The backlighting on the Ultralite is horrendous. Autometer makes replacement LED bulbs for these gauges so I'm going to try a set of them in my 3 overhead guages OIL, AIR, FUEL pressure gauges. The only problem is the LEDs are a bit spendy but cheaper than new gauges and selling the old ones at a reduced price.

Autometer will usually make anything you want, usually all it takes is a call

I glad to see someone who feels the same.

I LOVED my lunar gauges. They look so nice at night and it always seemed to scare off potential kills on the streets at night. All they would see is 3 bright green gauges on the a-pillar....sick....

I know 0-15psi was ok on 2nd gens but we need 0-40 at least for 3rd gens....Am I right...if wrong please correct me.

P.S Stab in the dark, as I have a good memory. It was a few years ago in a Chevy hot roding magazine where they upgraded the bulbs in either the Ultra Lite or Phantoms and it looked really similar to the Lunar or C2's. Does anyone else remember this? If so let me know. Im guessing 2001 Super Chevy??

Thanks.

Pics would also be nice.

Oh how I miss my Lunar's

I've got the Lunar boost, pyro, and trans but plan to switch because the boost gauge was made for a large weed whacker. Check out the Phantom II series, that's what I'm going with, pyro up to 2K, and boost up to 100 psi.

i have autometer phatoms EGT (0-1600), boost (0-60), and fuel pressure (0-30). good factory match IMO in this pic the FP is 0-15, but autometer corrected it and sent me the right one afterwards.

I use AutoMeter Ultra-Lite as well, 4 on the dash and 1 on the cowl (fuel pressure); easy to see at night (and dimmable) and the mere sight of them has always caused the playfull types to back off...

... check out my pics
