Suspension Tech...
I'm looking for a good 6"-8" lift kit. What's the differences in performance, articulation on/off road, street characteristics, etc. of say the 4 link BDS long arm kit http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma...-2007&kid=651H, or the Tuff Country long arm/radius arm like kit (a two into one arm) http://www.tuffcountry.com/dodge-lif...ift-kits.html?
I also see Carli and Thuren are making radius arms now. Is this the "new" way to go for Dodges vs. the 4 links?
I just want the set up that will give the best all-around performance for street and allow some fairly decent off-road ability. Just not sure of all the science behind flex.
Thanks.

Alot will depend on the type of off roaing you plan to do. If you plan alot of high speed running then the Carli Radius Arm setup will be agreat way to go. If it more low to moderate speed wheeling that needs alot of articulation then I wold look into the Pure Performance long arm kits.
if you want performance, street or off road, i would not go 6in-8in. There is a reason most of the carli, thuren, core lits do 3-4in lift it keeps better driveline geometry and handling. if you want it more for the looks of a 6-8in lift, your going to loose some handling performance. IMO you need to be really into high speed off road racing to need the radius arms and such, and if your running that hard should probably truss the axle, etc. Personally with thuren and carli around i would never let anything Muff country touch my truck...

Won't be jumpin dunes or anything (even though some of our roads here qualify for Baja status). Slow off road articulation would be nice, but running through bathtub sized pot holes or over wash board roads would be nice without losing fillings too.
Skyd, I see you have connections with Pure Performance from other sites. What's the difference between the PP and BDS long arm kits? I can get a pretty good deal on a 6" BDS, but I'd go with something better if it was in the near price range.
