Aprox. how long should it take to install a Super B Turbo on a 03' 6 speed?

for the first time it took me approx 8hrs, but that isnt working to hard. just be patient, the back two bolts toward the block are a pain in the a$$. i actually made a tool that worked really well. also it helps if you take the battery, air box and anything else out of the way. Then before you start it make sure that you put oil in the turbo and then unplug your box and turn the engine over to get oil pressure, but not start the motor. Goodluck cole

Timinva had a heck of a time getting my HTB2 on my truck. The turbo was just slightly too big to get it on the studs and he eventually had to loosen the exhaust manifold to get the extra clearance. It still only took about 1.5 to 2 hours.....

Took me 3+ hours and I pulled the exhaust manifold and turbo together disassembed on the bench then reinstalled. I had pulled the exhaust manifold twice before first to drill a hole for the pyro in the stock manifold, then replaced stock one with an aftermarket version.

Thanks for the responce, I was considering the install after work today. I will probably wait untill the weekend to install.

Dogger, Did you re-use the exhaust manifold gasket?

my 62/14 took 2 hours, that includes having to pull the e-brake. take the pass wheel and wheel well liner off to make access WAY easier. did not remove my manifold. just be sure to put the oil drain pipe on the turbo BEFORE you bolt it to the manifold, or you will be removing the turbo again to get the inner bolt on the drain pipe installed and tighted. look in my gallery, there are several pics from last weekend when I did mine.

Yeah don't forget to put the drain tube on it is not fun with the turbo bolted on, but it can be done.

It took me about 6 hours...I took my time and it turned out great. The exhaust was a pain to hook up though. I did notice a slight increase in MPG. My best is 22.3 so far, and i have 4.10's and a six speed (2003 4x4).

3-6 hours usually for turbos on 3rd gens.
The install of my Aurora 5k was an experience to behold!
