Subwoofer amp and speaker locations

Is there room under the back seat(04 QC) for a subwoofer?
Where can the Amp be put inside the cab? under the hood?
What size subwoofer and wattage would be functional in a 2004 quadcab?

Considering some options but wanted advice too!

Yes 10's fit fine, you can squeeze in 12's, just make sure you have enough air space for your sub

No to the under the hood option, put it under the seat

See above for size, wattage...bigger is better

MY opinion, stick with good brand names, not the stuff you get at Pep Boys...those are MY two cents.

MTX thunderform sub box w/ 2 10's under rear seat, cya to the flod flat floor..... amp under passenger seat. Quality amp critical, good head unit critical....... Look in my gallery for pics, Ebay was cheapest by far for the sub box even with shipping, it all out rocks, only stock thing left in my stereo system is the antenna !

You can see in my signature what I have stereo wise in my truck. I am not 100% finished yet, but getting closer. I looked at alot of boxes, but in the end went with the Pro-box, with Diamond 12s. Everything sounds crystal clear not over done on the bass and distorted, I do not like that, I was looking to (and did, lol) build a system that sounds good with all types of music. I put my amp under the driver's seat, and I love the way the system sounds so far. When I save up a little more I will be replacing the back door speakers to finish things off. I can send you a pic of the Pro-box mounted where the fold flat floor used to be, if you like. The best thing is no one can tell by looking in the anything is different than stock, except for the head unit.

Have any of you used or seen the Jl audio stealth box that is made to fit under the rear passenger side seat? It's box is specifically moleded to fit in that space. It's a 300 watt and needs an amp which would logically fit under the rear seat behind the driver? A few have suggested an MTX 300 watt amp?
here is the link to the Sub
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...hp?fit_id=1440

I have a power drivers seat so I don't think anything will fit under there, and the jack and lug wrench is under the passanger seat. Seems everything must go under the rear seats?

How big is a 300 watt amp to match the JL audio sub? Will it take up all the space under the driver side rear seat? Enough room for my tow strap and winch control cable, a pair of gloves etc?

Am I seeing this correct? does that amp allow seat clearance when the seats are down on top of it?

I went with Memphis amps in my rig, for the quality and for the size. The Memphis Belle is a 5 channel amp that has worked flawless for me over the last couple of years, great power and clarity. Memphis amps are only 6 inches wide, so they fit nicely behind that bar under your rear seat and it still runs very cool. I have the 5 channel on one side with the TV tuner, Sat tuner, and 5.1 decoder, and on the I have the Memphis 4 channel on the other side. I have a full length sub box under there with 2 JL 10w6's, all fits under there very nicely.
