Subs for Megacab besides stealthbox?
Any thoughts? I do not need 2 10"s and a $2500 bill for the stealthbox. Dont get me wrong I had the single in my Quad and it was nice, but the price is way too high. The only others I have looked at have been the e-bay carpet covered partical board type. I would like to keep the function of my reclining rear seats and my storage bin but still have a little better sound.
Any ideas? Thanks. Sevendust just sounds horrible turned up with the windows down on the stock system

I went with a box like this, but it does cover up the storage bins, you can still slide it out of the way(its not that heavy) and still sounds great. Seats also still recline to the almost last position. Hits hard, im running 2 12" Kicker CVTs(got them cheap), and a kenwood 1000w mono amp.

Box was $160, hard to beat the price, and fits all the notches perfect.

I have his box for my 2005. Really well made and sounds terrific. Perfect for a set of JL W3's.

My probem is #1 I need a lower box so I can use the child restraint devices, #2 I really only need something with 1 10" sub. I dont need a huge hard hitting box. I just need a little something that sounds good. Someone should make a small single 10" enclosure. Mount your amp above it and be done.
I live in Northern Va so to have any local shop custom build something is going to be expensive.

If you have any wood working skills build your own. I'm running 1-1052 Infinity Ref. in a box I made right to spec 1-1.5 cf with an Alpine M-500. It hits as hard as any 2 10's. Just use 3/4 mdf and gorilla glue it together carpet it. I have my amp mounted to the side and it all fits behind the small section of the back seat. So that one wont recline.
I just bought and built a single 8" box that slips in the front under seat console. It is a JBL 8" that has a .3qf requirement. Had to remove about 2" of metal all around the inside but it was worth it.
Don't know what the MC has for a front center seat.
Hits very nicely for rock and country western. Does OK for rap if that is your kind.
Powered it with a Fosgate 500w amp that mounts under the drivers seat.
It definately isn't as nice as the previos installs but if you need all of the storage you gotta give up some somewhere.
