Stock Muffler Removal Question
I recently purchased a muffler delete pipe (Geno's Garage) for my new 2005 CTD. I unbolted the clamps on either side of the muffler and proceeded to try and "push/pry" the tail pipe section from the muffler outlet. Is their a easy way to get the exhaust system to slide through the rubber hangers? I didn't want to tear them up while doing this incase the staight pipe is to loud and I had to put the stock muffler back on. Any help or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's not the rubber hangers that are holding you up. It's the crimped pipe before and after the muffler. When I changed my exhuast, although it took a bit of work, the hangers were able to come out of the rubber without any kind of lubricant and without causing any damage.
hmmmm.... i tried that as well. I ended up cutting it out. i figured there was no way the stocker was going back in anyway. If it was gonna be too loud, i was going to purchase a pergformance muffler, like the donaldson. 10 months later, she is still straight piped
