Steering cruddy @ 25K, don't want to fix with more cheap parts, suggestions?

Hello all. My steering is totally wobbly now. My truck is having an AD150 installed right now, so I can't look at stuff until tomorrow. Do you all think it is my tie rod ends, ball joints, track bar bushings, or what? I have a 2" spacer kit, so I won't bother going to the dealer. I'd rather not spend more than I need. I'm saving for a turbo. But I have no choice.

Tips on doing this right and preventing future failures?

Thanx.

I think steering wise I have seen Thuren has a nice crossover steering setup, lazer has some steering stuff out(???), and its either flaming river or borgeson that sells a "slopless" steering shaft. Also Carli, Lorenz, Kore, and Thuren all make a dual stabilizer setup for our trucks.

Just call Don and let him fix you up.

No, it stands for "Darrin's Steering Stabilizer" commonly referred to as a DSS: http://www.solidsteel.biz/product_dss.htm

i think you need to figure out what your problem(s) is/are before you just start throwing parts at it...unless your already planning on replacing EVERYTHING, then i guess it won't matter. jack up the front end and see where the slop is coming from.

I started having issues around 115000 miles (20k miles ago) I started with the Dynatrac ball joints and my issues got worse (wander and wobble plus ALOT of slop). Today I installed the Borgeson box and shaft. I reinstalled my BD Diesel steering stabilizer (it was only removed for the install). I can not believe the difference. I know it is only 100 miles but it is better than I can ever remember. Check my sig, lots of lift and tires!!!

I have always wondered what the kind of "dream" parts list would be to fix our front ends

I have a 4" spacer and a had a steering issue but it was the nut on the gear box that holds the pitman arm on. I had lock tite as well as the lock washer it was very strang as to why it was coming loose. After switching to high temp lock tite I havent had any more problems.
