Question To Stack Or Not To Stack

I am torn between installing some stacks on the truck. I'll really miss my x-over DD toolbox cause I carry a lot of crap for work, i'm not sure if I could fit it in a 48" chest that will take it's place after the stacks are in. The other choice is just a standard 5" exhaust.

If you think I should go for stacks, then which way? Straight back, or turn outs?

Oh yeah, for the guys that have stacks, how hot do they get? I have a Bedrug bedliner and was wondering about the piping close to the carpet.

I think for my self I would be lost with out my tool box , 75 gallon slip tank/ spare holder , and room for my quad in the back of my truck. But hey thats just me so my advice is ... go with what ever blows your hair back

I travel all over the states so I pretty much always bring my ATV with me and hit all the different atv parks so I deffinetly got to have room for it. This is why I would go with a chest type box set up like Gypsyman's truck so I wouldn't loose any room. It would still fit with the x-over tool box, but only with the tail gate down...

I don't think you have to worry nearly as much with turn outs as you do with mitre cuts. For a drain you would just drill a small hole in the bottom of the exhaust, I think usually in the 90 that goes to the T under your bed.

I personally like the single stack. Why duals? There's only one turbine outlet. If you had twins and wanted to run one stack per turbine outlet, I could understand.

Nope, even then I'd just make one big stack.

Absolutely, I got the idea from you. I may not go as fancy with the cut outs on the chest right away, I thought about just lifting it with some pieces of 6x6 just to clear the x-over piping and sit flush with the bed front.

I say turnouts, but you can always change them to your liking in about 5 seconds.
