SS Exhaust for '05 ?

I'd like to know if it's worth it to upgrade the exhaust on the 05's. Since they are already 4" end to end would I just need a hi-flow muffler installed? Would it really make a difference? Or is the 4" SS turbo back system the way to go? If I did go with a SS setup can anyone recommend a QUIET performance muffler arrangement.

Cram a 51" Nelson 86131M or Donaldson M090544 between the CAT and tail pipe. I hear they fit. You could get rid of the "(@^"...thinking about that myself; not sure if it's worth the risk. Do a search on Nelson 86131M or Donalson M090544...lots of history there.

Oh, if you want stainless, Banks might be the way to go there. They are supposed to be pretty quite, and they have a cat back kit. I see your in soggy Louisiana...might not be a bad idea if your going to keep your truck for a long time.

If you get a DPPI system don't get the 409 stainless, it rusts. 304 is good.

Thanks for the responses, Jake 315 my gauges are mounted in a dual pod steering column setup. Looks good, gauges match factory set well. Will try to get some more pics up today.

Banks offers a cat back system that is quiet with a straight through muffler to help performance. These are a 48700 for the CCSB and 48701 for a CCLB. Another option that is very popular is to come off the cat with an Aeroturbine 4040L with resoantor and install an off-set pipe to match up to the existing tail pipe. The Aeroturbine helps to lower EGTs and gives the truck a nice deep tone without being loud in the cab.
