Speed Limiter

Is there a programmer that will override the speed limiter on 2005?

The new tuner from quadzilla might... at least it says the duramax version of their stealth tuner does. I would assume the CTD version that's recently been released would have the same features.

They offer nothing for the 2005.

I read on a Hemi website about the ability to override the 108 mph governer on the rams. I believe it goes like this. Start the truck. Wait a few seconds until all the bells, whistles, alarms, etc subside (usual crap upon start up). At this point turn the key back towards the off position one click (it is ever so slightly but you will feel a click). Now the truck will still be running and you'll hear 2 or 3 dings (I can't remember exactly if it's 2 or 3). If you hear the dings you did the procedure correctly. Now leaving the key in that position, you will be able to exceed 110 mph. I have seen this done on my friends hemi and it worked. I tried it on my 04 Cummins and I got the dings after the key trick. Now as for breaking 110 mph. Never tried it and never will. I have a 4.10 rear and I'm not sure it's possible due to rpm's. I was doing 80 on I95 yesterday and was around 2500 rpm's. If you do a search on one of the Hemi sites you should find a video file that shows you how to do it.

It works but you loose alot of your trucks electrical accesories, and if you use it long enough it can set off some codes. Im pretty sure that the alternator quits charging as well. But it does work for "short amounts of time":D
