southbend clutch
Popping it into 2nd gear is a pain sometimes, I have to rev the motor to the mid 2K's to get it to go in. Reverse was hard sometimes too. I member on here gave a good tip. Before going into reverse, pop it in 3rd gear & give it a lil rev. Then it slides right in.
I did notive that my clutch pedal has to be pushed in all the way to the floor to deactivate the clutch safety switch. Anyone else experience this?
Holds great. I have done a few 3rd gear clutch dumps. Both 35's just spin like crazy and the clutch smiles.

After driving around today, I think I may have really had it adjusted poorly. It was going into 2nd easier.
By the way, with my stock clutch had real issues towing my trailer Southbound up the Grapevine in CA (Superchips on Tow mode). It did not slip, but the clutch got real sticky, heavy, and it almost felt like it was going to stick to the floor and not return to the "up" position.
FYI.
Sounds like your adjustment may have brought it out far enough to shift smoother.
Sounds like your factory M.C. or slave was going out at the time. Im sure now with your new S.B. you have the upgrade hydro. [ hints: didnt have it adj. properly] i may still need to fine tune mine as well.
