South Bend Clutch
South Bend Clutch
I'm currently in the market for a new clutch for my '05 Dodge Ram and South Bend is definitely my only choice but I'm not sure what is best for my application. I am currently running a Smarty and AEM Brute Force intake, other than that my list of mods is short. I do occasionally haul a trailer so I would like a clutch that can handle that without being too sticky.
As far as the future of my truck goes its difficult to say but I would rather be well prepared then make on slight modification and over power this clutch. Thanks for the heads up 35" 05'

I would say OFE, but I ALMOST got one and now I am glad I didnt. Cause my original goal of 500 is out the window. I am shootin for at least 650 now.
If you got the cabbage, go with the DD.
Look at dodgezilla04 (aka #2) he bought an OFE and I THINK he will soon be steppin up to play with the bigboys and gettin a DD.

well since i was brought into it. i have an ofe. at the time of purchase, the sprung hub DD was not available(missed it by 2 weeks). i am over 500 hp, and the clutch is great. yes i need the DD.
BTW, wanna buy my ofe? only 2k miles on it, havent even towed with it yet?

i got the fe but i will probably need a dd buy the time im done. i would have got the dd but the spring ones were a little while out and mine was bad...could even run stock....always go with more than you think you will need...cuz it stil wont be enough
im in the same boat, im trying to decide betwen ofe/dd. im realy leaning twards the dd. i dont NEED it right now, i might in the future, but i do need some thing smooth, not grabby.
that is unless chris gives me a smok'n deal on his used ofe...
