SMARTY update problems

I'm trying to update to TNT. I've got all the drivers installed. I've downloaded the correct version of TNT for S-06, but the dang thing keeps telling me "file not compatable with version of SMARTY." What the heck am I doing wrong?

I did search but I can't find anyone who's had the same problem. I went back and reinstalled everything with no success.

you sure you are using the 7zip file and not trying to download onto the smarty the exact file from the website. Download it from the website, 7 zip it then send that one to the smarty

I tried that exact thing...still says file not compatable. [dummy] Thanks though.

Could it be that you have a S04 version?

What version did you have on the Smarty before going to TNT?

I think I remember someone having trouble because they were trying to use the previous TNT over the newer Revo and it would not work.

Is the TNT the newest one from the site? S06V416ADR57TNT

Previous TNT was the S06_V414A_DR55TNT

Had something to do with the 57 has newer ECM updates?

I actually already tried the S04 version...same deal. My SMARTY has S06 in the serial # tag.

I've got Revo on it. I bought the Smarty in January of this year. I tried the versions of TNT that are on MADS site as of last night. Heck if I know what's going on. I'll try and download everything again...start over. Any other suggestions? This is on a newer computer running Vista.

JP-4.5 08-08-2009 10:53 AM

Maybe this is Vista? I use XP loading my Smarty...

If running Vista try this. Right click on the 'SmartyUSB' program and change the compatibility mode to XP.

Finally tried all suggested fixes. It's still doing the same thing. [dummy] I'm beginning to wonder if I have a defective unit [tapdshut] Any other ideas?

Could have been mentioned, but are you positive the file you are trying to load is the decompressed .smt file and not the .z file?

jdwest 08-25-2009 05:45 PM

I've checked and double checked. It is the .smt file. I don't know how many times I've uninstalled, reinstalled, 7-zipped stuff. I think my 'puter is starting to hate me [laugh]. Thanks though...

Not to hi-jack my own thread, but I did finally order a clutch. I went ahead and exercised the plastic and got the SBC DD3250 while it was on sale. Thanks for your input. And Larry at the DTR Store is the man, but we already knew that [roll].
