SMARTY REVO fuel mileage

I drove 688.5 miles on one tank of fuel. Granted, I was driving conservative and never went over 65mph. The majority was about 90% highway running, set cruise at 65 mph, the other 10% was city running. I had the SMARTY set at SW#3, TM#2, TIMING#4, RP#2 and WASTEGATE#1. For my truck this is great. Hand calculated it, I was getting 19.6 mpg. (trip meter said 23.6)

As an experiment change the rail pressure back to stock and see if your fuel economy increases.

A few of us noticed with the rail pressure set to mild (#2) while towing we lose about .5-1mpg.

Yeah MikeyB, I've been seeing that, but with mine it seems like with pressure I get better fuel mileage. Before I bought the SMARTY, I had a predator Dr. performance module(2018) which had pressure/timing and got great fuel mileage. I took it out because the timing was to high for me and was hearing about people having injectors cracking from the box. I'm going to try what you said, with the rail pressure back to stock and see what happens. Maybe with the SMARTY software not having pressure will be better. Thanks for the info.

Can i run the timing 4 with no problems? And would it really be better to change the rp to stock for mpg increase while towing?

I would think Timing 4 should be good using the stock injectors.

With every truck being different play with the rail pressure and see what works best for your truck. For me the fuel economy went down with additional pressure.
