Smarty JR REVO program differences?

Haven't been on the forum much and missed that there is now REVO for the JR.

So I am running the old software on my Junior which I believe was the version before last. Original software.

Is anyone gaining anything with the REVO?

My truck is an 03 HO 48RE 3.73s with 35x12.50R17 Toyos MTs, Scotty air intake and Goerend Valvebody. Stock exhaust and converter. Elevations of around 4000-7500 ft.

I've been running software #3 for about 8 months and I'm happy. Low mileage has been around 15 MPG which was towing a 2500 lb trailer and around town driving and idling with temps in the -5 deg F to -25 deg F range. Got 16.7 MPG towing the same trailer on a different day. Have seen a high of 24 MPG in the summer with speeds of 65-70 and 285s. Did get 20 MPG on Tuesday with a sled in the back and speeds around 55-70 MPH.

Happy with power and mileage.

Going on a 400 mile road trip next week and wondering if its worth trying the REVO.

Also, what settings on REVO are best for power and/or mileage? I found this confusing.

I know that this is going to sound funny coming from someone who does not have the JR. I've been looking around for a while trying to decide on Sr. or Jr. But from everything that I've read, the REVO is very similar to what you have. The only difference is that you can adjust the timing & torque management. Supposably the REVO #3 is the same between both. If I were you I would save the program you got so that you can go back to it and try the REVO. I would put it on lvl 3 and timing to highest setting to see what type of mileage and power you get. The nice thing about the REVO is that you can adjust it to your truck.

I'm sure others with Jr will time in.

You won't gain too much. Its nice to be able to play with the tq management in winter, and to adjust the timing. But if your on original software and don't have excessive smoke your getting the most power/best mileage you can right now.
