smarty jr

I just ordered a smarty jr, should arrive tomorrow or monday. I will be keeping my truck stock except for the programer. The main reason for the smarty is to calibrate my speedometer to the oversize tires I have on the truck. Hopefully I'll get a mile or two better fuel milage so the programer will pay for itself in a few years lol

True Dat' Rockcrawler!
Calibrating my tires was a simple subset advantage of getting the Smarty! Can't wait to hear your thoughts once you fire into the throttle a couple times...
Enjoy![guitar]

True!
SW3 and a few good runs and he will forget about calibrating the speedo!! [coffee]
I had mine at least a month before I even looked at doing that!

64 is not old!

Calibrate the speedo, and then just enjoy the other benefits!!

OH MY! I like it a lot! I have calibrated my speedometer and put the smarty on the performance setting (all defaults for now). I really don't notice any power gains since I drive pretty conservativley but it sure shifts nicer. (maybe because of the correct tire size?)

congrats on the buy, glad your already liking it

ha ha ha ha ha ha

Try putting your foot down more than 1/2". You will like it and there goes the fuel mileage - but you'll sure show those young punks in their ricers what it is all about.

verdesardog 10-11-2011 11:15 PM

I havent floored it since installing the program, but I do occasionally have to let ford or chev trucks see how a Dodge moves.....

I don't bother with ricer driving kids, they're mostly just punks anyway. This is a very small town and I don't want to get a ticket playing with punks.
