This has probably been asked 1000 times, but I'm recently back on DTR (where I actually bought my BD triple dog off another member) I need a new programmer for my truck. I've heard Smarty is best under $1k. The Bully Dog was easy to install and use, but I don't trust the brand with my truck any longer. Is the J-06 Smarty Jr. Any good ?what do you recommend ?

What year is your truck? If '06+ EFI is your best bet.
Used Smarty's are frequently sold on the Dodge forums from guys with '06+.

Mine is 2005, so no EFI live

For the money, the Smarty Jr is hard to bet. It can easily be returned to stock to pass Calif. smog tests. New it cannot be purchased in Calif., but if you are creative you should be able to obtain one. The suggestion to buy a used one is a good idea.
