Okay great and when i get it how do i get to download the beta files on it? Im completely new to smarty so i have no clue sorry! Im pumped about gettin it!

 

you have to use some drivers on the mads website. I take mine to someone who knows computers really well. if you do you will be all set. after you get it just watch your egts if you have a stock turbo. my truck made 461rwhp with a smarty alone I bet you will be shocked on how it runs. you have a built trans so put it on sw9 and let it eat. (just do it in the country somewhere where you wont get it trouble)

Better look into a lift pump too. You'll love the Smarty. It made my truck run like a totally different animal.

 

Ya on the banks note, I had one and it held me back from getting the smarty. It is an awesome chip by itself...great for towing and improves your truck quite a bit, but when you try to stack it, it doesn't go very good. I stacked it with a smarty and maybe I did something wrong, or I just didn't have enough mods to support it, but my truck felt like crap, so I ended up taking the smarty back, planning to get one later when my trans finally gave up. Now I've got the trans, and I'm running a free bully dog that my gf gave me intil I have the money to buy a smarty. Basically, I loved the banks by itself, but combined with other chips, its best to go with something else, like mp8 or quad, or edge to stack with smarty

 

Well i live in the country and i got plenty of room to get r goin lol, i can't wait to get it in im hoping its alot better than the six gun. So when i first get what do i got to do.

 

Truthfully, until you get some sort of extra fuel to it, I would run the loaded programs. Try sw 5 for now. SW 7 may be pushing too far, so play around with it and find what you like.

 

So what level is equivilent to the SL setting on the banks? I want more than that? What should i do about the more fuel

 

Well, 5 will feel more powerful, but hp rating to hp rating sw7 is "supposed" to be the competitor. Try that, if you feel a kind of flatline in the upper rpms your probably starvin.

You need to invest in a fuel system. I went with Airdog 100, but the Raptor, Fass, and GDP are all good kits. That will get you there .

So in order for me to download the smarty program on my truck do i just take the banks off and hook everything back up to the factory plugs. Do i have to set it to level one before i unhook everything? Please let me know so i don't mess anything up!

 

You have to do nothing with the Banks at all. The only thing you do is hook up smarty, (using your OBD port under the dash near the hood release lever)choose your sw# and let it download. When Smarty is done in about 5 minutes, it will tell you to unplug it. Then you start the engine and go have fun.

 

I didn't run out of fuel until I stacked the Smarty (beta 4.4) with an MP8, but every truck is different.
I ran my stock truck on level 9 for quite a while....The egt's came up pretty quick!

From level 9 and up through the larger beta programs heat (egt's) will become your biggest problem. At some point you will need a bigger turbo to keep the egt's in check.

My buddy used to run a Banks until he drove my truck with a Smarty (set a level 9)...He said it made his truck feel like it was broken!

So just take it off! Hook up the smarty and load it and go! Do i have to do anything on the computer uploading it when i get it? Or can i just use it right out of the box? How much hp is the sw9 setting
