Silver-62-14 VS SPS- 62-14

Has anyone driven with any of these combinations of Turbochargers , in a
3- rd gen , 04.5 Plus truck
Was curious on the Bottom End Spool-up Difference , Is it really notiable on the Bottom End?

Between- PS-62-65-14 , SPS-62-71-14 , & Silver-62-74-14

Include ing this Turbo too in a Phat Shaft -62 62--65--14 in the mix , I figure the 62-65-14 must pull a lot more on the bottom end to Mid range VS the other two turbos.
Running stock cp3 , with a raptor-150 lift pump , Glacier Big Line Fuel Filter,
New Smarty-260 HP Programmer for Electronics .
I had a Silver-62 -74--14 on my Last 05- Dodge with all the same supporting mods, only difference was Electronics I had Hot Edge Juice--Stacked with Edge--EZ , Was a great Turbo once it Lighted Up , And pulled really Hard through Mid to High Range. ( on stock CP3 system ) What is the Size of the Inducer Blade on an 05- Stock Turbo (Automatic ) 57 " or somthing ,so a 65 is still quite a bit larger then stock if this holds to be true.
so the sp-62-65-14 rated up to 550-hp , and sps-62-71-14
rated upto 600-hp , And the silver-62-74-14 being rated upto 650-hp. That being said which Turbo would be the best for a Fun Daily Driver Truck for Work And Play, no-tow , no- pulling , no weight. seems like the ps-62-65-14 would be the most (Usable HP) for fun, while running a stock cp3 system or mild fuel upgrades, needing to Pass someone on the Hwy doing 50-mph I figure the ps-62 would still pull hard enough to get the trick done. Just do not see myself using the silver-62's power band geared toward mid to High peak power Vs strong bottom to Mid range, smaller, roads and hwy's here in Hawaii.

I am running DDP 90's and a SPS62, with proper tuning and some patience to determine the right tune....it lights now almost as quick as stock.

The stock HE351, is good for 500hp with HOT temps. I have two friends who both run a HE351. One of them is a 03 that has DDP 50's and running TNT, he can easily run 13 flat in the 1/4. Which puts P/W around 540RWHP, and his temps are close to 1550* at the end. However a stock turbo wont survive too long running like that, but works great for occasional trips to the track and local ricer whoopins.

My other friend has a 04.5 and is running TNT stacked with a MP-8 and can run the rollers to 475HP with HOT temps as well.

I have the SPS62, and make approx 575hp with LOW temps. I max out around 1300* at the end of the 1/4 mile. Spools well and makes 47psi easily.

The PS62 will limit you with the 65mm exhaust wheel. Your drive pressures will be VERY high with that set-up. The Silver will produce the best DP ratios but you will sacrafice any low end spooling, but allows lots of room for later on. IMHO, almost anything with a 71 wheel will provide the best spool-up and best performance for overall mods. If you are looking to make 600+ then go with the Silver, but if 600 is the limit on #2 then the SPS62 would be the best, and if towing or ultimate spool are key the PS62 or HE351 will be the best.

Also, the PS62/HE351 work awesome in a set of twins if that is a option down the road.

I have a silver 62 with the stuff listed in my sig. Its spools a little bit slower than stock but it lights hard and and blows the tires away easily. With Smarty set to wild its gets going pretty quick.

I thought you were leaning towards a 64 turbo.

what about a 62/71/13ss? Isn't that the best of both worlds?

I have an SPS62 and will say I like it, however, in hindsight I would have gotten a silver 62 or sps64. The sps62 spools plenty fast but if you plan on more power one day and didnt want to use the sps62 as a top turbo then go with something a little bigger.
