Took off intake and tube, pryed the o-ring holding the silencer ring in out with a flat head, pulled the silencer ring out, re-installed intake and tube and voila! I never knew that the silencer ring makes THAT much of a difference! I sound like a Boeing 747 runnin up the road and it sounds like it just breathes MUCH better...night and day

I don't know what the names of 3/4 of the stuff on my truck are...I just know how to take things apart and put them back together...now the question of the day:
"How many EXTRA parts are there after you THINK you have it all put back together?"

Parts are things that are necessary for something to work .....
Pieces are the thing left over after you take it apart and put it back together and still works....

Is just sound or did you gain power too?
How many of you guys are doing this, is it effective, and what is the downside or reprocussions from it?

But if you could just HEAR this monster, one would have to come to the conclusion that it is breathing much better, hence PERHAPS making a little more power...As for the "pieces" and "parts" thing...you're another one of those "critics"
