And you can open the door, stand on them, then shut the door and they stay open,
Is there a way to get them to go up manually? I'd hate to wreck them during a minor tug off of a rock or sumthin. You guys are killing me! What to do, "62" turbo or steps????

I guess if you were driving with your doors open
If you wanted to for off roading and think you are going to have this issue, just pull the fuse.

I'm still a little confused by the post I quoted. the way I'm interpretting it is I get high centerd, open the door to get out, the steps hit an obstruction, stop, then stay down? Am I reading it right? I'm pretty much a pavement queen 98% of the time right now but I see that changing soon after I move.
Thanks
Thanks

I think that was my post you quoted. What that means is if you're parked in your driveway and you get out, stand on the step and while standing there, shut the door then they will stay down. So you could stand on them to wash the truck or whatever. If you're offroad and open the door and they hit a rock, they stop right there.
