Rokktech adjustment

I got this foolish thing in tonight. Not as easy as the directions and web site make it sound if you have a big pair of mits on you. How do you adjust it? It says push it upward? That part makes no sense. Can someone explain this to me. I got it in but maybe it is just at regular timing.

When I pushed mine upward, with the screw in the slot. it automatically turns the sensor to the right....like you turned it clockwise. There will be some play in the sensor when the screw is loose, so you have to turn it clockwise, hold it there and tighten the screw at the same time. Also take a screwdriver and disconnect that wiring harness that is in the way.....makes it ten times easier.....

Upwards or sorta forward as I recall. I don't have huge meat hooks but a small screwdriver would have helped alot when pulling the tab out on the wiring.

So the sensor turn in the housing it self? Like spining a bolt into a nut type turning?

Well I do not know if it is set in the best position. But it works. I had lost power when I added the 295 Nitto's. The ratio dopped to 3.90 and the heavier tire seemed to bring it down a bit. But know it feels like it has the same punch before the bigger tires

With the bolt in and only handtight, the sensor should just pivot clockwise around the bolt. Hold it in place when you snug the bolt down, I found it easiest to remove the sensor then use a flat tip to pop the lock tab out of the wiring harness. Works great on my 03 with Juice, definiteley enhanced the low end.

Pivot? It slides into a hole and seems to be locked in place. Do you mean twist?

Yes, twist it once the allen screw is snug but not tight. It only rotates about 1/8" so it's hardly noticeable.
If you find that it rattles too much, use layers of electrical tape on the contacting side of the sensor to the tone ring to "shim" the sensor to reduce the timing since it's pretty cozy in there to hold the sensor and tighten it down.
Remember, torque is inch pounds so it isn't much to tighten the bolt.
